New Direction Christian Center (NDCC) is a Christ centered, Bible based, Spirit led church that ministers to the needs of the total person. Through the presentation of the uncompromised gospel and powerful praise and worship, we nurture and navigate the people of God towards fulfilling their destiny in life.

NDCC seeks to help every person to discover their divine purpose in life. It is not our job to as individuals to create our purpose but to discover them. NDCC is a church that operates on purpose and cultivates people in purpose. Collectively we are “Purposed People Directed Towards Destiny.”

Pastor Jamyle J D Searcy

Pastor Jamyle J. D. Searcy is an anointed vessel destined to make an indelible impact for the Kingdom of God. A third generation preacher, Elder Searcy has been rooted in the rich tradition of the church, yet has a charismatic and current presentation of the gospel allowing him to effectively minister across generational lines.

Pastor Searcy is a native of Boston, Massachusetts where he grew up in the harsh, yet historic Roxbury community. He was able to escape the lures of the streets through being educated in the Newton Public School System, a suburb of Boston, and being actively involved in church. A gifted musician from a young age, the church served as an incubator for his God given skills. His talents continued to be cultivated through formalized musical training in high school. As a result, his musical abilities have taken him across the country and overseas serving as preparation for his anointed ministry in music and the preached word.

Upon graduation from high school, Elder Searcy was awarded a full tuition scholarship to the world renowned Berklee College of Music in his hometown. However, after a brief time at Berklee, he followed the Lord’s leading and relocated to Columbia, SC and enrolled in Benedict College. In 2002, he graduated with Honors becoming the first graduate to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education since the reinstatement of the program. Still committed to the cause of education, Elder Searcy is the Choral Music teacher at Leavelle McCampbell Middle School in the Aiken County School District and is pursuing a Master’s of Divinity degree from Interdenominational Theological Seminary in Atlanta, GA.

Elder Searcy has served faithfully in many different ministerial capacities since moving to the city of Columbia. Most notably, he served as the Minister of Music for Family Worship Center COGIC under the leadership of Supt. Derrick W. Hutchins. He also is the founder and director of an anointed ensemble, Fruit of the Spirit. After submitting to the evidential pastoral calling on his life, he founded New Direction Christian Center in Augusta, GA where he faithfully serves as pastor. His love for education combined with his passion for a ministry that reaches the masses allows Elder Searcy to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ from a scholarly approach delivered with a simplistic appeal.

Elder Searcy is the loving husband of the former Kristie Eichelberger of Columbia, SC and the caring father of Aziz, Jamyle II, Jayla, and Kayden. This gifted musician, composer, pastor and preacher continues to operate his multifaceted ministry with excellence and intensity as an agent for the cause of Christ.

Lady Kristie Searcy

Evangelist, Teacher, Ministry leader, Motivator, Woman of God are just a few names that are befitting of this anointed blessing to the body of Christ. Equipped with a loving heart and a fiery zeal for the Kingdom, Lady Kristie Searcy is a yielded vessel chosen of God to minister with power and authority. Lady Searcy is the youngest of three daughters born to Min. Tryon and Ollie Eichelberger. Her success in life is a testament to her rearing in a home built on a strong biblical foundation. She is blessed by the mantle of favor passed on to her and her siblings by her parents.

Lady Searcy is licensed in the fields of radiography and sonography. She holds a Baccalaureate degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and a Maters of Arts degree in Health Services Management. Currently she is completing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership. Professionally she is the department head of the Radiologic Technology Program at Augusta Technical College. From this platform she has the fortunate opportunity to teach, train, counsel, and affect the lives of students on a daily basis.

Lady Searcy is an invaluable asset to her church. She faithfully serves in many capacities and ministers frequently to the body. She is the ministry leader of Women By Design which empowers the women of the body to operate at their best level.

Her mantra is “Be the best YOU you can be!” She demonstrates her best self daily as the loving wife to Pastor Jamyle Searcy and mother to their children.

What We Believe

We Believe the Bible to be the Inspired and only infallible word of God. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21)

We Believe that there is one God eternally existent in Three Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. (I John 5:7, John 1:1-2, 14)

We Believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God which is in Christ, at His return. (Titus 2:13, Phil. 3:20; I Thessalonians 4:16-17)

We Believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance, faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ and being baptized in water. (Acts 2:38; Romans 3:25)

We Believe that the regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation. (1Corinthians 12:3; Titus 3:5)

We Believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer. (Colossians 1:14)

We Believe that the baptism of the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it. (Luke 11:13)

We Believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost by whose indwelling the saint is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world. (I Corinthians 6:11; I Peter 1:2)
